Default recommended upgrades for basher AX10

Im about to purchase an AX10 in the next few months intended for bashing & maybe a comp or 2, but i dont think they have comps where i live. Now, what upgrades would you recommend for a basher/non comp AX10.

I have these upgrades in mind:
AX10 kit w/Novak rooster crawler, fifty-five turn motor & HS645MG
CKRC stage 2
Axial battery & servo plate
Axial bent links for the front
rcp straight axles & adaptors (no 4WS)
rock claws

LMK your thoughts & thanks in advance...

If you want a basher than you should get a 45t lathe, that is the motor I run and it will give you some wheel speed and power.

If your just going to "bash" it (drive it like a monster truck), I would keep it stock. All that stuff like the ckrc kit, battery & servo plate and bent links are mainly used for a comp rig. I would go for a lower turn motor and a esc with no drag brake also. The only thing I would do Is lower the ride height either by limiting the stock shocks or buying shorter ones.

If you do plan to crawl, then all that stuff sounds good. I would include some aluminum front knuckles also (they bend too much for my taste).

I do plan to crawl with it, but just for thrills & excitement, not comp crawl with it. Because where i live there are no official comps, i do plan to 'beef' it up a little down the track, incase comps do emerge. Do u still suggest the above mentioned upgrades??

That's mostly what I did on mine... Only the servo is different

yes, all will help you crawl. We mainly use "bash" as a term for normal rc driving (like you would drive a normal monster truck, like an e-maxx). But if you do intend to crawl, yes all that stuff will serve its purpose. I have noticed that when bound up slightly, the front and rear knuckles will bend. So aluminum knuckles and possibly axle C's will be a good upgrade aswell. Or straight axle adaptors for the rear as you mentioned.

yeah i have no plans to make it rear steer, so i might aswell throw a straight asle in there.

Grapegoat - cheers for that mate, ill keep the alloy knuckles & c's in mind. I would like to keep the upgrades to a minimum though, only get the upgrades i really need. if my knuckles break then ill def get alloy ones!!

Ive also been looking at the Holmes Hobbies CrawlMaster Sport Mamba Max combo. I already have a mamba max fitted to my drifter & its the absolute best esc i have ever owned. Is BL really necessary for crawling, or will a brushed setup be fine?

u might also want to consider driveshaft upgrades, stock ones usually fail sooner rather than later

Get a better servo. I Started out with an HS-645 in my AX10, and it didnt have enough power for me,now I Have an Airtronics 94358Z w/200 oz of torque and I would still like more.
