Well I run a 17t with a 55t lathe and it works alright. Certainly not as much torque as alot prefer, but I think it offers better performance just from the wheelspeed. I don't seem to be getting stuck by lack of torque where I run so why not. I wouldn't gear any higher than where Im at though, just volt up |

| Thats the key question right there, cell count would be nice to. I run a 3014 850 kv Crawlmaster with stock gearing on a 3 cell lipo and it's great. More than enough power and almost perfect wheelspeed. I've also run a 30 turn handwound on the 3 cell with stock gearing. Lacks a bit of power but the wheelspeed is perfect. Tires won't last long though |

Add a couple 2/3a cells or jump to a 3 cell lipo. I'm VERY happy with mine on the 3 cell. If that don't get it,run a 35t on a 3 cell. Thats very fun | |
