| Storing batteries?
Should they be stored (for short times) charged or discharged?

For short periods (a week or two) I don't worry about it other than make sure that there is at least 25% charge in 'em because batteries do self-discharge and if they discharge past a certain point, it can damage the cells. For long periods (months), just charge 'em full up. There's a bunch of voodoo associated with battery storage, but for crawler batteries, I don't think it's necessary. But it's always a good idea to check their voltage once in awhile. |

I always recharge my NiHMs after I use them for short term storage and for long periods like over the winter in the off season I will repeak them at least once.

at the end of the day I always put a charge in my batteries when I'm cleaning stuff up. If it doesn't peak thats ok I just like about half in them. I never know when I'll get to use it again lol

It's always a good idea to get in the habit of storing your packs with some charge in them. It's all to easy to intend on using your car the next day, and then it's a week before you know it. (sometimes longer) If storing for a long time, it's best to cycle the packs every 3 weeks or so. A cycle is a discharge and then charge. Jake |

We always try and charge them so they are ready for the next time we go out. I just didn't know if that would be ok for the battery. Thanks!!
