Default A question on bevel gears

I'm planning on building up a rock racer with Axial axles, but using the stock kit (I don't need another esc, motor, etc etc.). So, I want to swap out the locker for bevel gears in the differential. The Axial bevel gears are not available anywhere that I've seen yet. However, I noticed HPI makes a set that at least on the surface look the same. Product number is HPI86014 (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBTA4&P=7).

Anyone know if this would be compatible? Not certain if bevel gears come in different pitches, etc. If noone knows, I guess I'll just pick up a set and be the guinea pig. Worst I can do is destroy additional gears

I read somewhere that someone dropped a whole WK diff in an AX I believe. Or was it the other way around?

You're right, I think they are compatible. At least I know the lockers are.
