Hey guys im new to these forums ("madmax22" on RCU and groundpounders) And my birth day is coming up! I'm new to cralwing. I have a nitro buggy, MT, truggy, ect...... I'm NO newbie to rc but newbie to crawling. Im sort of a newb to electric so bear with me! Ok well I am looking at the AX-10 kit with a novak rooter ESC/MOTOR combo. And for a radio a JR radio i'm getting. It comes with 2 servo's so I will use the strongest for steering. Is there anything I should be aware of about the axial AX-10? I have 4 2400 MAH stick packs. Also for water-proofing what is the best way to water proof the servo and ESC? so I need to do the motor to? and what about the batterys do the need to be water proofed? Thanks!

Welcome to RCC!! A quick look around will net you the answers you seek. From the electronics section: Water Proofing Electronics From this section: Live Axial AX-10 build lots of build tips etc. Also, not sure which servo's come with the radio, but I can't imagine either will really have enough torque for a crawler. You needs lots of torque for steering on a crawler. Spend some time reading up around the forum, there's a vast wealth of information/ideas here.

no you dont have to water proof the motor or the battery but if you dont want it to rust and corode you can get like a ballon on your battery you might want to stay out of the water with you esc and reciver though or you can put a ballon on your reciver too.
