Tower Hobbies will ship to Sweden, for details on their international shipping policy scroll down to the bottom of this page: http://www.towerhobbies.com/ordering.html

One thing to be aware of is local taxes and customs duties usually apply and are added once your shipment reaches its destination (that is, your post office may add charges to your shipment that you will have to pay in addition to what Tower Hobbies will charge you). Check with your local post office about importing goods and what charges could be involved.

Got this off of the FedEx site reguarding importing to Sweden: http://www.fedex.com/us/internationa...l?gtmcc=us#C03

Quote:
Value Added Tax (VAT)

Goods imported into Sweden are subject to a value-added tax (VAT). The general VAT rate is 25% of the taxation value. Foodstuffs and food additives are subject to a lower VAT rate of 12%. For newspaper and news materials the rate is 6%. Taxation values are normally the same as the Customs values, with the addition of Customs duties and other taxes or import charges.

Customs Fees

Invoice Fee
Customs is some situation will assess additional fees based on the invoices provided for a shipment. The fee is usually levied if they deem them necessary as part of the terms of entry due to the size of shipment and the related large number of invoices provided by the shipper for his goods.

Examination Fee
Additional fees can be assessed on some commodities to cover the expense of performing the examinations and or testing required as a condition of the goods entry into the commerce of Sweden.
So it looks like you would add at least a fee of 25% of the total order in taxes and possibly other fees too.

Default ordering

( just an example of shipping )

I have ordered a few things up to here ( Canada ) and found that couriers
ie: Purolator / DHL etc drop it off and leave - Canada post whacked me for taxes, their own handling fees ( like I'm paying them to do their job ) etc....

I have heard that anything under $200.00 comes across with no probs - above that and "customs" has a look ( and a charge ) so it can be a real "crap shoot" as to what happens..

It is illegal to falsify the shipping info - so I wouldn't bring that one up....

good luck - hope it works out for you

If I'm understanding your math right if Tower Hobbies is charging you $280, you would be paying around $350 (adding VAT). It would be helpful if you posted what you were planning on buying from Tower Hobbies (the total cost at least). Its hard to say what your final cost would be without you saying what your are going to spend.
