Hey guys I am wondering what is a good range servo to use torque wise. Right now I am using a servo that came with me Spektrum DX3.0 radio system. It has only 88 in\oz. Its not bad for messin around but I will be hopefully competing soon. What do you R\C Crawler Vets suggest?

200 oz. minimum,I wouldn't go any less. Allot of guys run 3-400 oz. You gotta be able to turn the tires to control the rig. Control is the most important thing in crawling. Anything less than 200 oz. and you will struggle in certain spots. There's a few good options here....Holmes Hobbies or here...RCP Crawlers

If you have less than that you will end up buying more servo in the future. The least expensive way is to buy a great servo in the beginning and you won't end up buying a second one down the road. Plus, a lot of the servos that even say they have metal gears will strip. The very high end servos will last soooooo much longer as well as work better. | |

I am using a 946r on 7 volts. It throws the tires around pretty well for $15 shipped.

I cant see a 15 dollar servo lasting long. You get what you pay for. Thanks but I am not gonna take that chance. Thanks though//

I did some reading on that servo for 15 bucks and I read at least 10 complaints about a centering return issue and the top bushing failing with them. Not suprised 4 the price. I dont want that..

I'm really liking my JR 9100T... and a bit cheaper than the one you posted... This is also a good servo. It's a Hitec 5955 with the Hobbico name on it... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXNRN6&P=ML

I have had alot of good servos, but the best durability and price is the futaba 3350. Its rated at 140 oz I think. I have these in all 8 of my trucks and never fried one yet!
