A good starting point is a 55turn motor. Integy lathe motors are inexpensive and decent for the price, around $20.

I have to agree. I run a 75T Integy motor, 14T pinion, and a Rooster Crawl'r ESC on my AX10.

Very nice set up!

X2 on the 55t turn. Decent wheel speed decently low end torque. Really the perfect all around crawler motor.

Yeah the 55t, 65t, 75t lathe motors are the best way to go. I hear alot of good things about the goat esc but the castle creations stuff is awesome.
