| newbie battery question
I took apart a stick pack that I have so I could build it so it will fit on the front axle around my servo. I see that when you take them apart they don't have any shrink wrap on them. Obviously I need to shrink wrap them but I'm wondering if I can use electrical tape as the shrink wrap? I don't have any single cell shrink wrap. Will electrical tape do the job alright? Thanks |

thanks...I wasn't sure if the tape would make them too hot or not.

over time... when your batteries get hot, reheating over and over either when you charge em do use em the tape will build residue upon the cells. But nothing shoe-goo cant take care of. Good Luck Buy a lipo! lol j/k |

Yup electrical tape will work, but it'll start leaving a residue over time. One fix is to re-tape them every so often. But the best way is to do it right. Shrink wrap is very cheap, CBP sells it and will ship to your location. By the way, what axles are you running? To fit a sub-C saddle pack on the front of an axial axle you'll need wideners. I found that out after I cut up a perfectly good stick pack. Now I use 2/3A cell packs. Good Luck |
