| Y harness question
I got and built my ax10 and instlled the rear steering package, and I will be using it with a 2 channel radio system( until i get more moeny)and i just realized that when you steer one way both wheels go the same way. My question is, is there a switch on a Y harness to reverse one of the servos so that when i turn the wheel on my radio, both wheels go in the direction i want(so they turn sharply)? Do all Y harnesses have this switch, or only some? Edit, i dont have a Y harness yet, so that is why i am asking |

there is only one y harness i know of that has a switch but cant for the life of me find a link to it. if you want full time all wheel steering ur gonna have to get yourself a y harness w/ a reverser. or if your willing to crack open ur servo you can swap the + and - pot leads and motor leads |

You say about swapping the + and - pot leads and motor leads. Is the + and - pot leads the two outside leads on the pot and do you have to swap the leads over on the motor as well. I am having the same problem with the servos and wish to run 4 wheel steer fulltime. Please Help |

You can buy a y harness with a servo reverser in-line... I did a search on Tower Hobbies site "servo reverser" and came up with one made by EMS.... They sell for $19 US.... Hope this helps you out.... |

Thanks Heaps but the I live in a small country town and the postage from the States to Australia is very expensive as I have found out with previous purchases and takes about 5 to 6 weeks to reach me. So I am looking for a quicker alternative. |

i would look at buying a different servo. some naturally to left, some right. If your using say a hitec for front, try a JR for the rear. i think they turn opposing ways, which when one is installed in the rear steering position, it would then naturally turn the way you want it to, opposite of the front. |

You could also get a servo that you can program on your computer, Atlas servos can be programed. |

In my opinion your better off saving up for better radio gear with more channels. In order to perform its best you need to have the steering completely independant from each other. Each needs its own channel. This is another reason why 2 stick radios are much better then a gun.
