Default losi shock question

I'm getting some used losi shocks. I like to rebuild them. I was looking on http://www.losipartshouse.com website and saw there, was quite few differnent shock pistons.

Whats the diff between numbers and colors ? what they mean ? which ones should I get ?

The different colored pistons have different sized holes in them. I ran the black (#57) pistons for a while with very good luck. The number on the piston packaging is just telling you how big the holes in them are.

Here's a chart that'll tell you what the decimal equivalent is for the numbers on the pistons.

I am running a little different set-up now. My head mechanic (Rubbaneck) recently swapped them out, and I don't remember what we used at the moment.

Ahh I see, I know it hard to keep up with all little stuff like this.

Btw is there any tricks to building them or anything to make them better ?

Sorry for the newb questions, I never mess with losi shocks before... gotta start somewhere.

They are the easiest shock to build IMO. The only advice I have is grease the seals and install the shock shaft from the snap ring/piston side. If you slide the threaded side through without deburring them, it can tear the seals which will cause them to leak.
