| Wheel Weights???
I added 3.75 ounces to each front tire. Do I need to add any to the rear tires?

i used to run 4 strips so .75lb in my fronts and no weight in the rear but driving with such a heavy biased in the front requires a lot of faness when it comes to down hill granted i knew as soon as i got my front end over an obstacle it pull the rear up and over due to all the traction. But with the new crawling season im going to try a 55-45 weight setup with 1lb total weight so that my crawler is a bit more stable in the rear end. along with a unique axle set up. |

Hi, New Crawler here, Just ordered my AX10 kit, Do you suggest adding weight to wheels during my building process or wait to experience how it handles first? Where can I find tips or links to add weight to the wheels? -RCHuffer |

It comes with beadlocks so you can approach it however you want. Personally, I'd add 4 to 6 ounces per wheel right off the bat. That's front and rear. You have to have some weight on the wheels as the plastic wheels and rubber tires don't add up to anything. Think of a real crawler. Have you ever seen the tires or messed around with changing large truck tires. They are very heavy. Add in the weight of a steel rim and your talking about several hundred pounds. It's all about keeping a low center of gravity. I know guys that run over a pound of weight on the front of their mostly stock scorpions and they want to run more but can't find the room. |

| Yes I suggest to my customers start with 3oz in each of the front tires and 1-2 oz in the rear. If you have to much in the rear I have found during steep decents the rear tires will flip you over. Thats just my 0.02 worth..

Where exactly do you put the weights? I have a bunch that I use to balance motorcycle wheels.

Now do you have the stick on type. If you do remove our tire and stick them round the outside of the rim. Then install the foam and tire and your good to go. | |
