Where are people getting their decals printed? I have several "sheets" I laid out but now I need to get them printed? Anyone no of someone on the board maybe?

I know I am a noob and all but...........I would start with your local graphix shops you know the ones that does the cars for the local racers. If they wont do it then you may try hitting some of these model car sites and see what they can do, If that doesnt get you anywhere try a printing shop they might can do some of the simpler stuff and if that fails try www.bigworm.com I think is the address I know they do RC cars I saw a 1/10 scale dirt oval car with an entire wrapp that was claimed to be done by them.

I've tried this and if you have an injet printer you will get poor results......the in kinda pools up. I have also tried the decal kits from office max etc.......same results. I may need to go get a better printer but I really dont want to spend that cash right now.

I am in the process of using Testors inkjet decal paper for my project. I have mixed reviews. I am not using the Testors software, only the decal paper. My printer (Dell 922) does a great job of printing the decals I design in photo quality at 4800dpi. After they dry, I spray the Testors clear coat on them. Sometimes they come out good, sometimes not. I think the humidity affects them.

When they are ready to go on, they are hard to handle because they are so thin. I have a hard time doing anything large, as they want to stretch and not line up correctly. But when they do work, they look great. Here are some samples I did:

Those look great, are you using the clear or the white background paper? I have used both in my H.O. Train details. I find on darker colors the white background works best.

I too have mixed results, well more not turning out then turning out. I have a Cannon printer, prints photos very very well.

Humidity could be an issue I have been printing and let drying in the house with the ac on.

I'm using both papers as well, depending on what I need to print. Obviously if your decal has white in it, you can't print it on clear paper because printers don't print the color white. My decals look great after I print them, the problem is after spraying that stuff on them, sometimes they turn to garbage. This is after allowing well over one day for the ink to dry. This is why I think the humidity has something to do with it.

Try this guy, he's great to work with. Fast, professional and reasonably priced. I had him do some custom stuff for me and was very pleased.
