Add me to the "addicted" list. My wife and kids are out of town for the next two nights, so I've been spending a lot of time and $ at the LHS during lunch breaks. I can't wait to tear into my AX10 for my first round of upgrades.

LOL.............My wife actually thinks my crawlers are "NEAT" as she say's. Until she starts asking what a charge for $50-$100 shows up on the credit card.........she wants to know what "The Crawler Store" is. Let's just say I get home from work before she does so I can check the mail and get my goodies to the shed before she gets home.

I'm not addicted, being weak and unable to resist being consumed by RC crawling is not an addiction. It's more like illness "RC Crawlophrenia".

Crud trust us your not alone we understand completely you might as well get used to it as there is no known cure.

Tattoo Kenny just got the RCC logo on his leg and being in the Tattoo biz is offering discounts to RCC members that would like one. Thanks bro

You will find that you need a lot of help with this condition and as you mention this is the place to come. Be seeing you around Crud.

<------ is an addict.

I stay up until 2am working on the rig when I have to wake up at 7am for my real job. My bank account has been looking pretty grim since I started. I am lucky to have a girlfriend that loves my hobby, and she supports me all the way. She's a keeper for sure. Thanks rc rock crawling for kicking my bank account's ass.

hahaha me too.I work for comcast and I spend all day driving from job to job in my work van and my eyes have been scanning everywhere looking for spots to crawl. i have been doing it for 2 weeks or so since i started getting closer to finishing my build. funny thing was when I got to a job today and the first thing i did when i got out of my van was go across the street from my jobsite to check out a pile of rocks.
I just finished my first crawler but been into nitro for years. I'm not finding allot of good places to crawl around here. just in case your interested here is my build

I really like the gold aluminum parts! Nice choice of battery too, I've got the exact same ones.

Default Wow...

I thought I was the only one that rubbernecked on the way to work scoping potential crawling locations. Glad I'm not alone.

I just love the cycle. Research a mod, make the mod, test performance, and REPEAT again and again.

First surfing, then bass fishing, now RC ROCK CRAWLING! I have many addictions. Luckily, they are all wife approved.

I am 36 years old.....and have only been doing RC anything for just over a year. Last January I found ROCK CRAWLING....and have been obsessed/addicted ever since. I work all day/nights/weekends doing I.T. work for a major corporation and am on call 24/7. I work in a "virtual" world all day, and really LOVE that RC (Crawling) has allowed me to tinker in the "physical" world.

I rarely sleep much (3-4 hours a night) but even in those sleep hours I find that my dreams drift to Crawling. The time that I get at home is spent testing/tuning/upgrading/researching for my crawler. This site has been invaluable. The membership has truly helped my Axial KIT evolve into something far removed from what it started as.

Evolution of My Scorpion

The addiction caused by this hobby has manifested itself in ALL the ways spoken of in this thread: I AM A CRAWLING ADDICT IF:

1. I dream of Crawling
2. I hide receipts from my wife/girlfriend because of fear of her wrath.
3. I lose sleep because of Crawling
4. I rubberneck while driving looking for crawling spots.
5. A once useable room in my home has become a workshop that I disappear into for days at a time....or as any time allows.
6. I have parts shipped to work in an effort to hide their purchase from my wife. (My wife works in my office....but we do not carpool)
7. I became the Secretary/Treasure of the local RC Crawling Club (Suburban Chicago Rock Crawlers).
8. I find a way to go crawling every weekend, and work on the truck every night that I am not called back into the office.

I am certain that their are other symptoms in each member's life, but we are all hooked. It is an addiction that I would not want to give up. Thanks RCCrawler for giving us an outlet/therapy group for this GREAT addiction.

+1 , My family and I went on vacation to Myrtle Beach. I was kicking myself for not taking my rig with me b/c there was a shut down mini golf place that was begging to be crawled.Of course the whole way there I was looking at the sides of the road for any culvert or whatever that would be good for crawling. Long story short, I will be taking my rig next year.
