Default I'm Sooo Addicted!!

I have owned a few RC cars over the years, but never really got too into it. Now at 37 years old I've discovered these rock-crawlers. I went out and bought a AX-10 kit. Now this little thing has consumed ALL of my free time, and money! I am absolutely addicted to tinkering with this thing. I am constantly tearing into it, making changes, and checking for performance gains...usually for the better, thanks to this awesome website and its members! I lay in bed at night thinking of how to improve my 4 link set-up, or how to get more sidewall support from my tires, etc.. I have converted part of our bedroom into a workstation. My chick thinks I'm nuts...and I'm starting to believe her. I don't care though, I am enjoying the hell out of this! I already want to build a scale rig from scratch, so I can have a comp rig, and a scale rig. With two of these things, I may not get any sleep at all!

I would like to thank RCCRAWLER.com and its members!!!!!

I'm right there with you. And I thought I spent a lot on my original purchase. Now, if I can just keep myself out of the Berg sub-forum.

Default aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadicted!

Diddo here. My wife gets pretty mad at me if I spend more then two nights in the basement working on my 2.2.
Ever since I found crawling, I am aaaaaaaaaaaaaadicted!

Already thinking of where I could put some rocks in my backyard for a 10x30 area to crawl.

West Mich does not have a lot of natural rock areas and I actually get really jealous of the pics from people in westV and out west of the great places they get to crawl in.

It's a powerful drug, this crawling thing is.

I know exactly how you feel. I bought my first AX10 back when they were Preorder, and it was several months before I got it. Then I put it together and didn't even buy the electronics before I lost interest in it. Somewhere in the middle of all that I had signed up on here and found out Kamikaze lives here where I live, and ended up going by his house to check out some of his stuff. Right after that I finished mine up and have now built two more and getting ready to try to figure out a Berg build. The day I met Jeff we were talking about where we worked, and I mentioned how most of the time I don't do much here but sit and read offroad forums all day, and he said if he had a job like that he would be on RCC all day. At that point I didn't really realize how addictive these little things could be, but once I finally drove mine I was hooked, and now I sit on RCC all day.

Just don't turn into one of the sheep that has to buy the next new thing of the week. Get your truck built how you like it, and drive it.

preaching to the choir brah!

i actually had a nightmare the other night in where i was competing in an international comp, in the dream it was being covered by espn8 "the ocho" (probably because i was watching dogeball before i went to sleep), and for some reason my rig would randomly flip over onto its back the second the front tire touched a rock.

i actually woke up in a cold sweat

probabbly one of the weirdest dreams i ever had.

I couldn't find a better time to make my first post than now. I'm glad I'm not the only one spending all their time eating, thinking, dreaming rockcrawling...lol. I spend all of my downtime figuring out ways to my my Scorpion stick better. Rock on Rockaholics!

So am I. I'm trying to decide what I want. However, addiction to the hobby as an entire, has taken me over.

My wife calls this website RC Porn. Said she wouldn't be as jealous if I was looking at girls.
