Question Is this enough or do i have to reorder (AX-10)

Hi guys, my first post, hopefully its not my last . I decided to go for the AX-10 car. I have ordred some stuff for it (it will be a formulaoffroader later)

Did read somewhere that driveshafts and knuckles could be a good upgrade..

i went for MIP thru the whole car, Slipper and Losis Crawler shock-kit.

Alloy steering knuckles, and some upper links in alu to,some CF parts like chassi sides (just for the look, and servo + batt mounts...) Widening kit,

And now the servo Q, i have a few here to choose at home.

ACE1015 14.5kg
ACE1313 6 or 8kg
Ko 2413 app 6kg

What i have understand, the best thing is to mount the batteries on the fr/rear axles..for lowering the CG? i wil use 4400mah 2s Lipo in this car (saddle) that shouldnt be any problem ?

i know "search and you will find", but this is a new class, and i do not know what to search after, any small tips, that is a MUST for this car to upgrade ?

let me know,

best R

Thomas

Thomas, I'd run the ACE 1015. A lot of guys run those in buggies and truggies so it should hold up fine. I tend to go over board when it comes to servos, so I would personally recommend going with one that dishes out the most torque you can find.

Oh, and get those aluminum knuckles. RCP Crawlers' high clearance knuckles will work great with your MIP CVD axles. You'll have tons of turning.

Good luck and have fun. I went to Sweden a few years ago--pretty country and real nice people.

Hey Thomas,
Welcome and you will enjoy your AX-10...
1/18 scale lipo packs work awesome in the AX-10

You will want to lower the stance of the stock crawler....
Try to get the links level....(move the shock limiters to the inside of the shock) Next get some soft springs in the rear shocks...
slam your body down low as well.....
Try to get all the weight down low....the lower the cog the better it will climb......

You definitely want to weight the wheels....and get some tires w better grip. You should check out Mayhem Engineering in the vendors section.
He makes a wheel called a double phatty that uses Ball bearings for rotating weight that settles when stopped....(check em out...)

We are enjoying our axials and Im sure you will too...

get some lead 1/4 ounce weights from your local tire shop or a store like tcscrawlers.com or ckrccrawlers.com and stick them on to the inside of your wheels. take your beadlocks off remove your tire and foam and stick them onto the center of the wheel.

If you're really going to be running those paddle tires you might want to reconsider the weight issue. You might also want to specify that it's not going to be a crawler so as to not get bad advice.

so far i have broken 3 sets of trans outputs, 3 middle trans gears, and countless drivelines. so get some metal trans gears and steel outputs. rc4wd makes some heat treated gears with machined outputs on them. or hot racing makes alum. gears and you gotta get some steel outputs. i made mine but yotachump on here makes them also. and i got mip drivelines so they wont break anymore. and it looks like you have the 20t pinion on there my motor got HOT with that on there, i put the 14t back on and it cooled down some.

here in mine

and my outputs

and yea its broken in the pic. have fun

yea those are them, if you get those they will never break. the straight axles will not widen the truck but will be stronger. if you wanna widen it you need wheel wideners or a different offset wheel.
