do a 1 color paint job

then here comes the kicker...

apply decals

a little bit of trim tape adds nice accents

another good thing about using decals is the fact that if you get bored of the current design you can always remove them and give ur lid a fresh new look w/ out having to break out a bucket of brake fluid and repaint.

there are tons of really cool designs out on the market. some lhs's even stock custom decals designed by real artists, and not just that computer rendered stuff.

here's a pic of my old lid
just dont pay attention to the extra body mounting holes



just dont go crazy placeing decals everywhere it'll look like a wall of flash art threw up on ur rig. remember less is more.

internal graphics are a pretty good option too. but you wont be able to remove them if you get bored of the design
