| Custom Chassis Suspension problem
I have a problem with the suspention on my custom chassis. Wehn it climbs up tall things, the shocks extend all the way and the suspention links are almost vertical. I need YOUR IDEAS BADLY!!! |

shorter shocks, limit the shocks.

i think it would be easier to make the shock tower higher

| Doing this will not solve your issue... with this much travel you will have axle stear... very bad!!!!! you need to add a limiter to the shock such as fuel tubing inside below the piston. Or use a smaller/ shorter shock. Good luck let us know what you came up with....

i will tie a strap to the axle and i cut a staw and put it inside the shock to limit the travel Thanks Much!! |

move the top shock mounts forward or angle the shocks to the center of the frame

Does anyone know where to get a quarter-elliptical spring pack? If they are available one could use them as part of a modified 4-link design (as upper or lower links with a rigid mount at both ends) or in a 6-link configuration (with a flexible mount at the axle end, possibly parallel to lower links) the possibilities far exceed what I have written here... Designed properly such a system could be self limiting in travel (but not overly so) and help resist the dreaded body roll/torque twist problem...
