The Axial has a 12.5" wheelback out of the box. So, making it scale would be easy by just adding a new body and wheel/tire combo. The Wheely King would need a stretch kit to make it long enough for adding that stuff.

As an owner of both a WK and AX-10, I think you will really like the AX-10 a lot more. I am turning my WK into a semi-scale trail rig now, and I wish I had just bought two AX-10's instead of the WK.

either will hold up if you prep it right, on my WK I wrapped the esc in a wii mote controller sleeve and sealed around the heat sink, and ballooned the receiver, and dipped servos in plastic dip. I really liked my wheely king as a get started truck, really cheap and alot of stuff you can do to it for very little cash. but I sold it so I could build an AX10 based axle rig. which is not so cheap. best bet is watch ebay for everything. |

I got a rock racer a couple of months ago and I think that is the way togo, I read on here somewhere that a rock racer out of the box will out perform alot of WK's with upgrades. that is why I went with the ax 10

axial is deffinetly the way to go. A RTR axial has a better esc than the wheely king and it is well ballanced. Also it has beadlocks which is a plus. Another thing is it has a true slipper clutch (adjustable)instead of an internal one that isn't adjustable. |
