| does the Tamiya Hummer fit into the 1.9 catagory?
My club is going to run a 1.9 scale class next year, which I would like to participate in. I just bought a Tamiya Hummer 'scaler' from fleabay, which I will mod up more to my personal taste, but it's a head start towards having the scale truck I want and saving some $$ in the process. What are your opinions about the Hummer as a scaler rig? |

They are definitely 1.9s. Measure the diameter of the wheel.....it'll be 2". 2.2 and 1.9 are classed by the diameter of the wheels.

Yep, that's a 1.9, but if it's still on the TA-02 chassis (four-wheel independent suspension) the "purpose built" straight axle rigs are going to walk all over you. There are guys who have made fairly successful scalers and trail rigs out of them, but if you are going to try and compete with it, well, you're gonna lose. They're just not very capable. |

it will be legal for the scale runs but not for comp use... the usrcca 1.9 rules are going to be very specific.... |
