Default Why a custom chassis ?

Hi,

I'm the proud owner of a very modified wheely king. (55T rooster crawler, home made lower likns, stretched to 12.5, high torque servo on front axle mount, hammer m2 on proline beadlocks etc...)

I've been working on it for several months now and the last thing that remains stock on it is the chassis. I've been taking so long before thinking about it because I'm simply wondering how it will improve my rig...

I'm really not arguing it's useless but the only useful thing I can think of is a clocked tranny for lower CoG. Also, I've drilled holes in the stock chassis where I want to put my shocks.

Would you say a chassis is a big improvement ?

well that depens if your going to compete in comps or use it as a basher how does your rig work now if your going to compete then i would go a different chassis but its going to be a basher then leave the chassis it has now

The high CoG with the WK stock chassis is probably its biggest downfall. With the stock chassis , its impossible to lower your motor/tranny and electronics enough to make a real difference and low CoG is pretty critical with crawling.
