| New Guy Checkin in
Whats up ya'll? New guy to the site here. Considering getting back into R/C and these electric Crawlers looks dang cool. Ive got a savage right now, and Ive had a few other nitros, but tuning has always been an issue for me since I travel alot, differences of weather all over the country is bad for me. If ya'll can think of any suggestions what to look for and what would be a good setup for me to "tinker" with in spare time, feel free to share please! I will never be doing any kind of competitions or anything, its just for tinkering and toying with in spare time. Thanks! |

Almost anyone here would recommend the AX-10 for a first timer. They offer the most as far as being a capable crawler and have lots of upgrade potential. But don't let everybody tell you what to get. Look around the vehicle specific threads here and see what looks the coolest. The possibilities are endless and you could "tinker" on a crawler till the day you die, lol.

Awesome.. Thanks for the replies.. and my assumptions were correct with the AX-10 then. I grew fond of that look quite fast lol whats a decent price for a used one run? just ballpark? everything I would need to just charge up and go?

Add your batteries and charger then hit the rocks...This is probably the cheapest you can go and its brand new...The up side is if you like to tinker you can do all the add ons yourself...But if it were me I would go ARTR that thing is pretty capable out of the box... http://www.rcpcrawlers.com/product.p...&cat=29&page=1 http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Axial-AX1...2-p-16753.html |

AX10 all the way. but if tinkering is your thing, then look in the FOR SALE section for A Used Ax10 ir a TLT based rig and go from there. If you are BASHING, add some speed to your rig. If it is for competing, Look up the national CHAMP. 'Just Zack' to follow his set-up.

i started out in nitro and, believe me, you won't be dissapointed to get into crawling. i would also go with the scorpion, but not the rtr, only the artr or the kit to start with.

axial artr or the kit, i myself like the kit just because it gets you more familiar with the truck and how it works. biggest waste of money i ever spent was on a t-maxx...sold the pile to start a crawler...best decision ever.
