Default Newbie question straight axle versus independent

Besides the extreme ride height you can get with straight axle setups... what are the other advantages?

The pumkin moves up and out of the way when the axle articulates, simpler and easier to setup.

The Norm. is straight axle. Many hve sold there Inependent suspention set-up to get back into what works best.
