| just introducing myself and some problems i have with my rc
hey everybody my name is bill and im in the USAF. after owning my first jeep and lifting it and everything i started to see threads on my jeep sites of rock crawling rc trucks. well i wanted to get into it and didnt even research anything about it. so i bought a nitro powered 4x4 rc truck from hobby pro shop and it was def not what i was looking for. i came across this site and figured well this is probably the best site with the best advice. so heres what i need help with i want to take this junker and make it into a electric 4x4 crawler but by using the same chassis but modding it and have no idea if its even possible. so here are some pics and if anybody can give me some direction that would be great. specs: steel chassis but all one plate 1/10 scale and thats all i really know about it. http://i35.tinypic.com/33lglu8.jpg http://i35.tinypic.com/5546m0.jpg bottom chassis http://i37.tinypic.com/29cnndc.jpg http://i34.tinypic.com/2h4l1g3.jpg http://i38.tinypic.com/70uxps.jpg http://i37.tinypic.com/2pqtj5z.jpg |

I would personally sell that thing and pick up a Axial or something of the sort and go from there! |

I agree. after you turn that thing into a rock crawler you will have spent enough money you could have bout a 1:1 rock crawler. I agree, you should sell that thing and buy and axial.

i have been trying to sell it because i really want a tamiya toyota hilux but no body will buy this thing i spent over 300 including fuel, tools, and glow stick and i was selling it for like 200 so i thought i would just make a crawler with it from scratch. but like i said i dont know anything about this hobby im new to it.

Also being a off brand rc with probably no parts support for it won't help the value either. Rc stuff never really hold value well unless its vintage or something.

Yeah, rc stuff is like real cars, you drive a mile and the price plummets. It would be interesting to turn it into a crawler though, i have never seen a nitro crawler. |
