| Should I get the $199 Scorpion?
Im very new to the crawler scene and want to pick one up but have some questions. Im not sure what the $199 Scorpion has or does not have, Id like to start out with a crawler that I can upgrade. Im pretty sure it doesent have many upgrades but thats ok, I have a HPI Firestorm 10T that'll keep me busy in the mean time, thanks for the help.

$40 difference in the kit, but about $200 or more extra with all the stuff you need to get. I say get the RTR and have fun with it.

well the scorpion in my opinion is like a honda civic of all crawlers looking in the right place you can find countless amounts of parts for it from motors and gearing to new custom aluminum chassis awsome crawler man i have a wheelyking but buy that scorpion and be one more of the most addicting and fast rising rc crawlers |

check prices. The best one to get is the artr, It ways way better parts. You will have a less chance of breaking parts then having to pay extra for new parts that are already on the artr.

The ARTR comes with rear lockouts, good tires, a decent body, better wheels (more beef around the hex on the 8holes) but most importantly the upgraded lockers. Only buy the kit if you are only getting it for the axles and tranny.

hey crawlernoob, i bought a scorpion rtr, it's a great basher out of the box. It's got a heavy duty front locker and a 14 tooth gear for the motor so you can crawl it. With the rtr you can start now, and add upgrades later if you want. You can buy a 55 t motor for crawlin and keep the 27t as a basher motor. there are so many options with the scorpion it's unreal. hope this helps |

Get the RTR if you don't have all the electronics. Otherwise it'll be another $150 mininum to get all that. Get the ARTR if you have most of the electronics stuff. |

ARTR gets my vote. Take the radio from the HPI. Once you drive the AX10, that HPI will collect dust. Orange is the new green! |

I have an AX-10 kit that I built and I love it. I also have a savage, xxxt, and a slash and the only ones I mess the are the AX-10 a lot and the slash a little. The ARTR is the best one to go with if you don't want to build it.

Get the ARTR and buy your electrics used. You can get them pretty cheap if you look around.
