| how does a rear dig work?
I understand the concept of a rear dig being able to have a truck run 2wd but I am wondering how exactly it works. I am looking to possibly build one for my pede trans instead of having to buy the r2d. I also tried searching for it but has anyone ever built a rear dig for a pede trans?

A disconnect is very simple to build. It is just a female collar that slides over 2 male shafts. With a disconnect you can have free-wheel, with a 2 position 3rd channel, or free-wheel and locked rear wheels with a 3 position 3rd channel. I use a JR XS3 radio and my 3rd channel is only 2 position, drive or free-wheel. It works very good for my driving style. Hope this helps....

Dig is not an acronym....the rear tires "dig" in. It can also be called a "front burn"....the front tires do a "burnout" while the rear sit still.
