Default TLT Axle Mini Option

So can anyone give a brief explanation of how to get a TLT axle to the legal mini 8 inches width? Not sure if it can be done by just using the right wheels and certain tires... or if there must be some cutting / fabricating done.

I have some TLT axles, but I have never had any reason to have 1.9 wheels or tires so I can't mock up anything to see how close it is. With 2.2's It looks to be over a half inch too wide.

It would be cool to try one of the new mini chassis from one of the several chassis makers on here and try making a non-losi mini..

Thanks!!

JRH said he used the HPI nascar wheels and a skinny tire and they made it.
