Default Explain 1.9 and 2.2 tires please.

Help a newbie out please. I think the only real difference between the 1.9s and 2.2s is the width of the tire or is there a difference in the actual rim diameter. I have a CR-01 that I have not built yet and really like the looks of RC4wd's white Landie Rims. Very scale looking but I do not want them to look wrong on my CR-01. Also would I have to worry about the tires slipping on the rim being that they are not bead locks? I want an aluminum rim that looks scale and is proportioned to my truck. Thanks for any info you can shoot me.

2.2 and 1.9 refer to the diameter of the wheel in inches.

Thanks redmike, does not seem like much of a difference in size eh? What do you think, would 1.9's look ok on a truck that came with 2.2s?

Many trucks set up for scale run 1.9s, a lot of them using axles from vehicles that came with 2.2s. I guess it just depends on how they look with the body you're using. Check out the 1.9 and 2.2 scale sections here for photos or check out some of the trucks at http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/
