What kind of plug is that Why does it have 4 prongs? I would suggest using a "Deans" plug or just soldier the + and - straight to the motor from the ESC. What are you using it on RC wise?

hi
this plug has 4 skrews to fixate the 4 cable-ends. it's innards are of brass, i think. normaly we use this kind of plug to connect lamps to the power-lines. in german it is called "lusterklemme". but i don't know about it's impact in performance when connecting an esc to a motor with it.

I think they are called a 'chocolate block'. You wont lose any power that you would notice in a crawler, maybe in a mod tourer. As above go with deans.

If you are looking to be able to disconnect your motor from your esc i would go with bullit connectors. Castle Creations make some nice ones also you can get them from eflite as well, any well stocked rc shop should have some to choose from. Just know what size wire you are using, they come in different sizes.

What you have there is a European terminal block/strip. For crawlers it is ok to use. I would tin the wire ends before inserting and tightening down the screws.

Default Aderendhülse

even it's an old thread, but it's important.

NEVER tin wires when fixing with screws.

The tin will get lose an the connection will heat up.
You have to use core end sleeves

in germen:
