Lexan A clear, plastic-like material that is vacuum-formed over molds to create RC bodies. They are painted on the inside so that the paint is not scratched off on the rocks. Plastic like? Lexan is the trademark name for a specific formula of a polycarbonate resin thermoplastic. It is plastic. Much like a kleenex is a tissue. |

I'm sure this a lame question, but... What does it mean to 'bob' a truck bed? I am under the impression that it means to shorten the bed... Cheers guys. |

you got it, shortening it from front to back. Pinch or boat tail is narrowing it width wise |

I have searched and can't find what WMS-WMS stands for. I read this in the maxx crawler forms. Twistedcreations used this as a description on width. Someone clear this up. -Gary |

What is the type of events called where the driver runs along side his rig across varied terrain presumably against a clock? I love this idea of racing but don't know much about it..

Search down ~1/2 way on the main forum page, I believe there is a G6 section.

Can someone give a better explanation on wheel size. The first post says 1.9 wheels are 1.9 inches. I would assume that means diameter, except that my micro crawler's wheels are ~1.9 inches in diameter. What else could that 1.9 refer to? Width maybe?

The most common way to name wheels is by the diametre of the rim, where the tire sits. (The rim's total outer diametre is a little larger.)

This one will probably make me feel really silly, but what does GTG stand for? I recognize it's a term for meetup/comp.

Comp rigs may look nothing like a "real" rig. they may have a body, they may be bodiless. Scalers (various types) look like the "real thing". In a properly set-up photo, it may be hard to tell if it's an RC or a real rig. Either way, there are rules covering, at a minimum: Wheel diameter Physical dimensions (usually minimum sizes....wheelbase, body width/length/height) Drivetrain, shafty vs. MOA Rules linked a couple posts ago will go into more detail. If you want to comp, it helps to know what classes your local guys use. Some are more "comp rig based" (1.9's, 2.2's, Supers) while others are more scale based.

Can anybody point me towards some more info on OD/UD gears. I know what the Outdrives are but I'm still unclear on UDs and don't have a clue how they work when people start saying "OD front and rear" or "UD rear stock front" or "OD rear, HD front" etc etc. Googled, searched, and alas here I am as a last resort hoping to not get flamed!
