| Axle pins coming out?
I was crawlin last night at the LHS, noticed the truck was acting funny. Thought it was lack of skill than anything so I didn't pay attention, and it was dark. Pretty soon you could smell it was getting HOT, shut the truck off and disconnected the battery. Pretty sure the novac is toast so I ordered a new motor, anyways so this is the culprit.... Is there a trick to keeping these pins from backing out? Can you solder them? Sorry for the bad pic.... cell phone cameras suck. |

Clean parts thoroughly to remove any oil/dirt/grease. Loctite on grub (set) screw threads. Heatshrink over stub axle "bell". Narly1 |

you can you 1/8 scale body pins. lock tight, yes. not sure how the heat shrink would work.? it just happened to me yesterday and you will figure out what to do to fix it.

| The heatshrink goes around the outside of the cup part of the shaft, over the outside of the slots, keeping the pin from falling out.
