| A new idea came to mind.
What about making skids out of thin aluminum, and wrapping up a little for less hangups, and having slots for links to go into and hook to mounts on yop of the skid kind of hard to explain but i might have to make a mock up and try it.. Sound plausible? |

Aluminum will catch the rocks more than Delrin.

Aluminum is not a very slippery substance. My lower skid is made from thick lexan and works good. I may try to get some delrin for my next chassis build and use that instead, glides a bit better than lexan.

I've tried that with mine, not so much to have skids on the axles, but to keep the diff's from hanging up. It works so-so. Aluminum is pretty grabby. Stainless would be better, but its hard to find in small sizes and really hard to work with unless you have the proper tools.
