Default Hammers or Moabs

Hey y'all I'm pretty new here so if this question has been asked before I'm sorry, but for some reason I couldnt find the search forum Icon. But any way I'm going to get a new set of 2.2 tires and the only thing my LHS has in stock are Hammers and Moabs. So which of the two are better? Any and all comments are welcome. Even if you think I'm a stupid moron for not being able to find the search button, tell me please just be polite about it:grin: Also I know that these two might not be the best choice but c'mon any thing is better than my stock Rock Lizards plus I'm gettin em for free. Thanks in advance.

Pro-Line Hammers are the better tire over Moabs.

Forget your LHS and buy on line with one of the vendors in the vendors section. Get either Losi Rock claws or Panther Cougars Moabs and Hammers are just not competitive. Don't waist your money.

Default Thanks

Well the thing is I'm not really a comp type person. I'm more of a casual crawler.A couple of friends and myself get together and try to brakke our trucks on some local rock piles and trails :-P. So I dont need the best stuff. Plus like I posted I'm gettin em for free so I cant be to picky. Thanks for the replys from everyone.

Ya Stormin2U is right save up for a competitve tire. Claws, Cougars and big hope for HB and Carvers will be your best bet for tires.

i don't know about that. it might be were i live, but the new G8 hammers as i see it are much better then any others. i have panthers and the hammers will just walk up stuff the panthers and claws will not. my friend is now running them on his berg and he would tell you the same. the new G8 are amazing and they wear great too!

In 99.9% of all situations the Claws and Cougars generally are going to out preform all other tires in the market. If your going to get only one set of tires for your rig it had better be anyone of those.

Ok thanks to all that replied. I am not a comp person so I dont really need the best, just something better than the rocklizards that are on it. I went up to my LHS today to look at the two choises that my friend that works there said they had. While I was looking around and digging through all there tires.....Low and behold if I didnt stumble across a set of Flat Irons so I went that route. And after a couple of trial runs I'm dang glad I did I love em.
