Angry !!!!!!!!!!!!!

.....ok so now i got my crawler running (tlt 45t motor, blah blah blah) when i get up to the rocks it goes up a little but when it get challenging the back gear (spur gear) just sits there and spins!!!!no wheel movement. whats the problem???

What transmission are you running? Does it have a slipper clutch? Sounds like you do and it's slipping. If this is the case just tighten it some.

are the driveshafts tight on the transmission outputs?

old style or new? if it's the old style with the plastic gears check the idler gear sounds like it may be stripped... or what he ^^^^ said.

It's the smaller plastic gear inside the tranny... Check the driveshafts first though to be sure they are tight.

well i just went and put it in the position where it just stalls and the spur gear is spinning but not the drive shafts....is it the shafts??

i took out the whole tranny just now and the shafts are on tight so it wasnt the problem...what else??the idle gear? oh and i dont like tinkering! takes a long time

Sounds like it might be the internal slipper, pull the trans apart and replce the plastic gears inside ONLY THE PLASTIC ONE!! then put it back together remembering what screws went where, that should solve it

not exactly...i spent all yesterday and the day before "tinkering" and i didnt get anywhere...i thought it was about time to ask some people who knew something about crawling, and see if they knew other that wasting more time

ok which one is the internal slipper?? and what do you mean by "the plastic gears inside, ONLY THE PLASTIC ONE" that doesnt make sense to me

Actually open up the transmission, and take a look at what is inside.

Then report back with your findings.

What were you tinkering with for two days?







Odds are you haven't locked the slipper.
