| MOA conversion?
I am looking into a MOA conversion and saw that raptor axles are very nice looking but am not sure about them because i have heard they are junk. And, i think they are too wide for 2.2 class with 8 shooters. I saw berg axles and are i think too wide then i saw the ones meant for axial and just want to know the basics I.E. dual esc? how to do dig? i am planning on a FXR for esc but cant afford 2 and dont know how you wire 2 of them and just want to be informed on all of this this might be for the newb section but since i just fell into somethign worth some money i want to see what i can do feel free to post any input u have thanks |

I dont know about the FXR, but for less than 80 bux you can get the Sidewinder and it will run dual brushed motors for a MOA rig with no problems according to castle creations. With proper offset wheels bergs can be made to be about 10-10.25" wide...which is pretty much ideal (altho i like having the 9.5" wide rear axle). That being said the HR conversion is well liked, but has weak inner axles and aluminum lockers. For dig do a search in the Berg or clod sections as it has been discussed hundreds of times, just requires 2 switches and a micro servo. do what i did when idecided to go MOA, read the posts in the berg and clod sections....massive amount of information to be had, and it pretty much applies to any MOA rig. isnt a 12.5 track width allowed for 2.2? i like the customizibility of a FXR and i bet it will handle them both i think i might just go witout dig for a while, if i do then i can run novice right? Last edited by 47willysbuggy; 12-30-2008 at 02:28 PM. |

i dont know your local rigs, but MOA is not ok in Novice here... i beleive 12.5 track width is ok... the Sidewinder is the ultimate in tunability...there is nothing you cant tune |

I love my bergs. The track width is perfect with the berg offset Eritex wheels. You are right 12.5" is legal for 2.2s but you would have an awful time trying to fit through the gates. Here is a sticky in the berg section for digs on MOAs: My Dig Switch Box! |

35 or 45 turns from Holmes Hobbies Tekin or Sidewinder...I prefer Sidewinder Get a 3 cell lipo You will love the wheel speed. Losi 4" shocks and a Kamikaze chassis with bent links. |

Losi shocks!!! Trust me. The KK chassis depends on the shocks. If you go with the Losi, get the chassis for 4" shocks. | |
