| Venom Creeper or Axial ARTR
It looks like i'm going to start with a basic kit and get the Novak Rooster Crawler Reversible ESC and the 55Turn Crawler Brushed Motor combo, a HiTec High-Torque 2BB Metal Gear Servo if it will work with the 2ch traxxas trans and recvr, and then either the venon creeper or the axial artr and upgrade to the RCP Bastard Jr. Chassis later, if i can get that by it self. my question is which of the two; Vnm or Axl, is best? product quality and useability wise? which is made better? thnx. either this one: http://www.shop.rpphobby.com/product...productId=1216 or this one: http://www.shop.rpphobby.com/product...&productId=929 |

I would go with the Axial. I think it is better quality and has stood the test of time. Sure there have been changes and problems along the way, most of which have been worked out. There are tons of upgrades available, most are relatively cheap and easy to get your hands on.

The AX10 is proven and has a ton of aftermarket support. Also you can get them from us alone: http://rcpcrawlers.com/product.php?p...&cat=29&page=1 Or bundled directly with the Bastard Jr and save money. http://rcpcrawlers.com/product.php?p...&cat=29&page=1 |

You know I've been looking at the axials too and although I love the kit deal for the build experience the ARTR is only what 20 bucks more and you get a few upgrades. The better tires alone cost twice what the extra is. I'd go with the axial ARTR |

alright, i'm not a blockhead so i get you hints but just one last thing. i was reading the axial site and felt that i read the comparsions to say that the kit had better parts...artr...that's cool, i'll probably take it apart during upgrades anyway and yeah, the point about the wheelset is good. http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/kit-artr-rtr.html thanks for the help guys! |

There are a few differences between the AX-10 kit and ARTR besides the tires. Here is a comparison chart. http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/kit-artr-rtr.html |

kruz...did you know that your chart is identical to the one i posted???? numbnuts!!! LOL i'm just said that the kit, even though the wheels suck, imo will be better to get as it does have better parts in some places...but at the end of the day, who cares. it's not going to stock for long and in 6month, i can't expect too much to be on still axial. artr and get playin'...

Wow, nobody went with the Venom. I am in the same situation. I know the Axial has been out and there are tons of stuff for it and tried and true. I am kinda leaning towards the Axial also but, the Venom sure looks nice. |

They both have their positives. Right now I'm leaning towards the Venom for the incredible steering. Although the Axial artr has better tires, but they are still not comp winning tires and will probably need to be replaced so I guess I'd say Venom.

I really like my ax-10. I say check your hobby store first and see which one they have more parts for in stock. Mine dosen't have any so they have to order everything if and when it breaks.

Own both the Axial and the Venom. Both are great rigs. I think once Venom get's the initial issues on the Creeper worked out, the Creeper is the better crawler out of the box. |

I have the Axial ARTR and love it so I would say Axial. The other thing I would suggest is a 3 channel radio if you have to buy a radio |
