It's a very nice, high quality chassis, but not really suited to crawling applications. The axles are also very nice. I had a set of them, and the chassis at one time, but the link geometery is not very good, and as thatguy said, it's a pretty heavy truck. It's more a general purpose basher then anything. There are much more capable chassis designs to consider before this one.

At first I was using a normal chassis (4 link I guess) and i hated it. It constantly toppled over and never quite ran right. I switched over to a pimp cane chassis, and this thing runs great now. Just watch out for high-siding the damn thing. That's the only weakness I have found so far, it gets stuck on obstacles and will act like a turtle.

4thgenceli: So the Berg/NewAge didn't impress you? All of you: So your dream chasis or setup would be? |

Migs, to be honest I think I am totally bssackwards. I just realized now that the OP was asking about MOA (ie clod) or the shafty (IE axiel) styles. Being the newb I am, I thought he was referring to the chassis types (4 link, droop, torsion, etc). Here was my crawler before. Now I have a pimp cane on it, and I greatly enjoy it. I am still adding things and changing it, next on my list would be a 2nd ESC so I can do a DIG on it and to fine-tune my 4ws setup. |

Cool! I'm a newbie too. My AX-10 is my first, and I'm modding it as we speak. Moving the linkages inward... I'm also starting on an NewAge/Berg MOA. Migs |
