| Hitec Servo (screw)
If someone knows the specs of the screw that holds the servo horn on a hitec servo and wouldn't mind sharing them... It would be appreciated. Thanks |

Yup, M2.6x8. Hitec uses a different screw than any other servo that I know of. I ordered a box from Mcmaster when I needed a couple quick.

If you have a well stocked LHS, HPI sells 2.6mm screws. That's what I had to do when my stock screw decided to bury itself in the carpet.

| Are the HPI's phillips or hex? I'd prefer hex since the phillips have (yet again) proven themselves weak. Need to get a few new ones. The last spare is on the rig and on it's last leg!

Emailing worked for me. Took about 4 days to get a reply and about a week or two to get the screws to my place, but I did receive. | |

I have used 2.5, but with plenty of locktite. It was brought to my attention that it is actually a 2.6mm. Tilted RC, local hobby shop for me carries them. http://www.tiltedrc.com/advanced_sea...c18333&x=0&y=0 |

Hi, My first post here. You can also drill & tap servos for 3 mm with no probs. Have done it for all of my Hitec servos including 5955 and 255. |

Will they still warranty that though? 3mm would be a nice upgrade for sure.
