Do you have a charger that will handle lipo? Can you fit a lipo on your front axle plate?

If not, go with a split pack from HH.

Yep....HH=Holmes Hobbies.

If you dont have a charger yet, what are you looking at getting? Any specific price range?

I have the Hyperion 606I (which Holmes also sells) and love it! This charger can handle most battery types (Nicad, NiMH, LiPo, Lead Acid) and is quite easy to use. With this charger, you should be able to pick what battery you need based on physical dimensions and go from there. Although, I tend to find myslef, lately, running mostly Lipo.

i dont have a charger and i dont know what i want.preferrably nothing TOO expensive. i dont plan on doing any competitions just want to get started. some decent batteries that will last a decent amount time and have decent power. i know i will upgrade later but for now i just want to get it going.

Well, the MRC Super Brain 960 is a decent charger (can be had from www.towerhobbies.com for a decent price) and a split pack such as this one:
http://www.tcscrawlers.com/TCS-Crawl...r-p-16620.html

would work quite well on your Ax10. TCS also sells some battery plates that will fit on the Ax10 and give you a place to mount the packs to the axle:
http://www.tcscrawlers.com/ON-SALE-1...h-p-16524.html

The plates will work fine if you still have your steering servo in the center of the axle.

This equipment should yield lengthy run times (if you are using a high turn motor) and will not break the bank.
