ae racer 02-05-2009 11:18 AM

no way... get an axial arr or losi 10th scale.

farm__boy 02-05-2009 11:49 AM

losi makes a 1/10 scale
and they cost less or 500$

kryten 02-05-2009 12:07 PM

I'd say your best bet would be the new scx10 scale and capable!

farm__boy 02-05-2009 12:34 PM

how much is the scx10
what about ax 10 rtr i also heard about people who build crawlers for you if you dont know how
and what about cliff climber

jedsled 02-05-2009 02:02 PM

cliff climber is more "bottom of the barrel". if you're new to rc and dont really have the interest in or want to build your crawler, get the losi mrc... just charge the battery and play. if you think you'll be able to install the electrics, the ax10 artr kit would be great, as its already put togather minus installing your electrics.

if you do want to get the ax10 artr kit, search this site for the info needed on how to install your electrics and how to set-up your radio gear. if you think you might not have the confidence on installing the electrics yourself, doing some research on here to see whats involved before you buy is a good move.

good luck and welcome to the hobby.

thanx and i love8) the quote
what electronics would i need for the axial a10 artr
also what about the losi comp crawler vs the kyosho rock force

Tyler Kadlec 02-11-2009 09:47 PM

You should go with the RTR Axial, It comes with everything and are about $320
And you can get the aluminum kit and you can upgrade your electronics. But you can get used to the stock stuff first. Or an ARTR, No electronics but aluminum."thumbsup"

actually...

I think you can get a much better price than that on the Axial RTR RTR for $229 here

I'm in the same boat getting ready to purchase my first crawler...and trying to decide on the AX10 or the SCX10...I really want to use the Proline Ramcharger Body, which fits the SCX10's wheelbase much better...

I'm also new to this and have been shopping. The Losi 1/10th is my vote. Front and rear dig, aluminum links, front and rear lockers and worm drive for just under 300 smackers. Downfall.....Not out until May. I'll wait.

losi

i dont know if you guys have any experience with losi but their very fragile i have had alot of losis and personally i would stay away from them i would go with ax10 i love mine their very durable damn good crawler"thumbsup"

dirtman 02-15-2009 02:07 PM

I spoke with the local hobby shop I have my losi on order from and they told me the date has been pushed clear back to May 5th. I'm taking this with a grain of salt in that they are only improving their product. I'll be ready with all of my electronics when it gets here.
