Default Rooster 12t crawler edition EEC on 11.1?? Can it handle it???

I have a Novak rooster 12t crawler edition esc that I'm ready to
Put to use. I just read the instructions and noticed it's only
Rated for 2 cell lipos...... All my crawler lipos are 11.1 and
I use external bec's on all my crawlers, so does anyone kmow
If it can handle a 3cell lipo?? Or has anyone tried it?? Mr Holmes
Feel like chiming in on this one?! And yes I know that if
I do it my warranty is toast. Thanks for any input
On this one. I would just hook it up and try for
Myself, but it's soo hard to get the smoke back in an
Esc when something goes wrong

When a company says the ESC can only handle a 2S lipo, they usually mean it

Although you may be able to get away with running an 8-cell NiMH battery (9.6V) for a little while, running a battery with 11.1V will surely fry it.

Max rated for this ESC 8.4V. 11.1v will most likely let out the magic puff of smoke.
