You can use any. But you will have more fun with drag brake and instant reverse.

You can use almost any ESC. Alot of ppl on here use the Novak Rooster's, Mamba Max or Tekin. When choosing an ESC for crawling you really want something with adjustibility as well as durability

a drag brake would help on down hilling and accidentally hitting reverse right??

if your buying one then buy one with a drag brake.If your just using one u already have then it will work fine till your ready to upgrade

it depends are you a beginner crawling for fun or are you a comp guy who practices everyday and lives eat breaths RC . castle's sidewinder is great because you can put brushless and brushed on it and a lipo cut off and you can adjust about everything

It also depends on the truck, if you got a Kyosho Rock Force you don't need a drag brake at all, the worm gears do not allow the wheels to roll when you are off the throttle.
