what i did is that there is two pins kinda next to each other on each side. i got a little string and tied the two together so when a pin pops off it is still held on by the other one. i made my string red so if somehow they both popped off it was easy to see on the ground.

I used to use these on my nitro's...

Flexible steel fishing line leads. Attach one end to the chassis, and slip a clip through the other. I either ran them through the windshield or wrapped them over the fender.

Never lost a clip.

I've fallen on my keys before, but I could only imagine what it would feel like to fall with a pocket full of body pins.

That's exactly what I do.

Strings and streamers are just something else to get snagged on rocks.

Cheers.

Back in my rc10 days I used to use safety pins. The clips would always come off at the worst time.

I have those clip retainers on my Jato, and they suck hardcore (well, of course sliding upside down for 15 feet doesn't help either...).

I use really small body clips that are damn near impossible to take off without needlenose pliers. I then attach either small zip ties to them, and then fishing twine somewhere to the chassis, or just leave the them with the zip ties only. Haven't lost body clips since this.

Another trick I read was to take small magnets and hot glue them to the underside of the body by the clip (so if the clip slides out it'll then stick to the magnet).

Safety pins sounds like a good idea, I think I'll try that.

Or you could go with a bodyless chassis. No pins needed!

Cheers.
