IMHO I dont run weight in the tires. But im out to have fun with my truck rather than compete. I found I lost alot of battery life, my wheel speed decreased and it tended to break parts more easy (loosen wheel nuts, strip hexes, nuke shafts, etc). I removed the weight and im happy. Just weighted up the diff. |

If you want to climb anything much you have to have weights. Your tires wont perform as well as they should, your suspension wont perform as well as it should, and in general your rig wont stick to the ground like it should if you don't have weights in your tires. Putting them in there allows you to put the weight of the vehicle right where it's needed in order to counterweight the rest of the rig. They also allow you to put the weight where you want it, such as more up front than in the rear.

| Say yes to weights
I have 8oz in both fronts and 4oz in the rear wheels. I've done three comps and never broke anything. The weights give you better center of gravity when going over and around rocks. By the way my rig is a ax 10 artr with stock drive shafts, stock knuckles, and stock wheels with Hpi rock grabbers. Great bite and still no problems |

I am running a TAG chassis with WK axles R2DII trans novak rooster and 55t combo. I have axial rockster beads with one weight strip in each rear and 2 in each front. Ordered my vanquish revovlers tho, to get even more weight and an awsome look.

My fronts are 12 oz each 0 in th rear stock ax10 rims and rovers. I found that weight in the rear had a negative effect for my driving style. Last edited by goodoldlevi; 03-20-2009 at 08:16 AM. |

Fully loaded Vanquish DH procomps 15oz each front wheel and 10oz each rear wheel. You most definately want to weight your wheels. |
