My guess would be that one will yeild more power due to the strands of wiring being closer and will manage power better.

thanks grump.....that was pretty interesting but i still have not found what im looking for. i think what im trying to ask is if i have a 65t lathe motor and a 65t hand wound will i get more power out of the hand wound or is it the same power with other little differences?

I'd think it would depend on who is doing the hand winding. Holmes has a good rep for his hand wound motors. I believe it is a smoothness difference that some wouldn't even notice. |
