What parts have you broken? If it is something that is replaceable with an aluminum upgraded part you should try those before giving up. There are tons of guys on here that have bomb proof ax10's and you just need the parts for you.

| parts
i drive my truck every day but its the lower plastic arms that pop off and the esc is a little messed up i broke the servo last week trying to fix it and all the plastic arms are stripped. why did axial put aluminium on the kit and the artr and not on the rtr???????

They did it for cost. I would upgrade the all the links to aluminum and be done with breaking. You can even find some made from Ti and it would be indestructable links.

Since you already have the ax-10, I would look into upgrading it. That is going to cost less than chucking it and starting anew with a different rig Check around the ax-10 forum, there are upgrades for days to be found in there, just gotta decide which direction you want to go in your upgrade.

The berg will own them all, however since you already have an axial rtr (where i started) upgrade it learn to drive better, and get into some local comps. Then at some point build a berg, that is exactly what i did, you learn to appreciate the berg more once you have owned a shafty.

Dude i was in the same boat, the elecronics will work for some time until a new motor and speed control can fit into your budget, the rtr is a starter crawler/rock racer that will get you going fast but wont compete with the $1000+ highly upgraded crawlers. Your going to want these to make the aluminum links work http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVEX5&P=7 Here are the links they have many colors http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWDP3&P=7 That will upgrade your lower and uper links to aluminum along with the steering if im not mistaken. If you are breaking the plastic c-hubs and knuckles then here are the axial aluminum ones, there are cheaper ones to. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWAS0&P=7 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWAS1&P=7 The only other thing that have broken easly would be drive shafts and a set of these would work fine in somewhat preventing that. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXUHN8&P=Z Last edited by paintballer9876; 03-23-2009 at 09:48 PM. |

ax-10 is a good starting point fof sure. The shaft's make the build and drive a little harder and makes your skills that much more..........
