if yer talking bout the tube frame, it's 3/16" brakeline from any auto parts store.................bob

And the chassis appears to be solid square stock... 1/4x1/4"
For the brake line (3/16") try to get the stuff that doesn't have any coating.
If you have a NAPA auto parts store near you ask them if they will sell it at shop price...it'll save you a couple $$ a piece (6ft.)

in the event that someone cant find the noncoated line, what is the best way to get the coating off?

once i had the pieces cut to size i chucked it in my drill and ran it on high speed with some plumbers sanding cloth that looks like window screen with grit....took bout 10 minutes with a 24" piece to clean it off........bob

Ace hardware usually has an awesome selection of thicker walled stuff. Brake line is too weak. I tried my first rig out of brake line and every good fall would dent and bend it. Switched to a little thicker walled steel and I can probably drive my F-150 over it.
