Just wanted to drop in and say hi, new to the sport of crawling but not rc. Looking for some thing slower then off road racing, found this site and thought it looked like a good place to start at. I don't have a crawler yet but was looking at getting the axial artr and putting my own electronics on it. Is this the best starting point for some one new just getting in to the hobby? Thanks

The ARTR is a good place to start. Everything is already upgraded and all you will need are elctronics. I started out with a RTR and the only thing left that is stock is the axle housings. You might want to check out the Axial RTC and the Losi Comp Crawler. Welcome to the forum |

Have you had any experience with the Losi Crawler at all? It doesn't look to bad just wondering if they have the parts support that axial does.

I called both hobby shops up here in MN and neither one had a expected arrival date for the losi. Looks like I might have to go with the axial. Is the losi going to be a kit or rtr?

| The AX10
The AX10 will be a good place to start. The artr AX10 was my choice and I'm not upset with my decision. You can turn it into a scaler or a comp worthy rig. There are tons of support out there for anything Axial sells. Your heading down the right path, and if that path is rocky just be sure that your AX10 will get you throught those rough spots. |

If you are new to crawling I would personally go with the new Axial RTC that is coming out, It is basically a more starter crawler then the RTR that is out now.

RTR has mostly plastic linkage and have mid range electronics. I bought the axial ARTR, choose my own electronics and saved a bundle compared to my friend who started with an RTR and has basicly changed everything on it. Basicly he paid for 2 rigs. Plus what color do you like better? Orange or Green? |
