thanks, but does the no drag brake limit the crawling ability?

would a new esc fix it?
thanks.

im not sure if its a drag brake but if when your crawling and you tap the trigger forward once it locks up the tires like a brake then hold it forward and it goes in to reverse

Cut up body looks good - wish I would have had done it, am still thinking about it. I like the body myself. I agree about the motors - more power.

I noticed - I have played around with the rig lowered like that - lower linkage straight - but the rocks were hitting the lower shock mounts and linkages - I was crawling on smaller rocks - like the fact it is easy to change relative to the enviroment. I need to install some shock limiters - too much flex, I think?

Oh yeah - I agree - but I have read in the forum that too much flex is not good, am I wrong - I am a novice at crawling and at "set-up" for crawling. How are the servos working for you? I feel they need to be stronger - but 6kg converts to 211oz. - they don't appear that strong, tires won't turn without movement (on carpet).

i dont think i have too much flex but just enough and the servos might be a little under powerd but its not to bad on rocks

"ground down edge rod to fit the edge of the 540" - what part is this? How much effort and how long did it take? Hardest part? How does this rig crawl now?

when you open the case there is a sprocket. the one closet to the pinion. when you grind the case there is a rod you hit"thats the sprocket" put an edge in it and the motor should fit flush. o and where the motor bolts up you need to bore out and put in new bolt holes. the first axle i did was a little hard because i didnt know what i was doing. but the second axle was a breeze. in all it probably took a few hours easy, trying to take my time and not break anything. it crawls awesome now the motors dont cut out any more like they did and they dont get really hot and for some reason the battery lasts a long time now

Great job - too chicken to try it myself... afraid of damage. I hope Redcat makes some upgrades that don't involve this much work in mods. Any thoughts on the 8T pinion as a sub for better motors for better low end torque?
