Default Newbie Question About Shocks

So, I've been wheeling my 1:1 Jeep for a few years now and I think I've got a pretty good understanding about it. But now that I'm getting into RC Crawling I'm hearing some terms that I'm not familiar with. My question is; What does it mean to "cycle shocks?" I've seen a few people talking about this and I've never heard it before. Thanks for your help and sorry about my ignorance!

So when people talk about having trouble cycling the shocks, are they having this problem because the shock is the wrong size or maybe at the wrong angle?

They are probably meaning that the shock is somehow binding. Whether that be because of the mounts, or because of the piston inside the shock.

Awesome, thanks so much for the help ya'll. It'll certainly come in handy during my build. Hopefully my newb questions aren't too stupid and some other newbs can benefit from these Q+A's!
